Our Conservation Partners Include…
- USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service – Benton SWCD works with the local NRCS office to provide technical assistance to Benton County residents.
- Benton County, Oregon Department of Agriculture, local businesses, donations and other fundraising efforts fund district operations and activities.
- Oregon State University Extension Service, Benton County – Extension works with us closely on several of our projects and programs, including Teen Weed Spotters and the Soil Quality Network.
- Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) – To support implementation of the Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds, OWEB offers $100,000 per biennium through Benton SWCD. These funds are for on-the-ground projects that will benefit “water quality, water quantity, and fish and wildlife. Small grants are limited to $10,000 per landowner.
