    A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Benton Soil and Water Conservation District, Benton County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, will take place on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 6:00 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message, and to receive comment from the public on the budget. This is a public meeting, which is handicap accessible, where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

    Benton Soil & Water Conservation District is partnering with Heartland Humane Society, Audubon Society of Corvallis, and Chintimini Wildlife Center to encourage the use of cat enclosures, or “catios”, to keep cats, birds, and other wildlife safe. Visiting catios may inspire more cat owners to build cat enclosures themselves! Catio tours are very well attended in the Portland Metro region, and we can’t wait to bring this event to the Corvallis area.
