Dodder

Cuscuta spp.

Annual plants that parasitize the leaves and stems of other plants. Dodders have leafless, threadlike stems that are orange, red or yellow. Roots disappear after stems have attached to host plant. Small, whitish, bell-shaped flowers appear summer through fall.
