Middle Willamette Agricultural Water Quality Management Plan

This page includes excerpts from the Plan.

“In 1993, the Oregon Legislature passed the Agricultural Water Quality Management Act directing ODA to develop plans to prevent and control water pollution from agricultural activities and soil erosion; to achieve water quality standards; and to adopt rules as necessary (ORS 568.900 through ORS 568.933).

“Between 1997 and 2004, ODA worked with LACs and SWCDs to develop Area Plans and Area Rules in 38 watershed-based Management Areas across Oregon As part of Oregon’s Agricultural Water Quality Management Program (Ag Water Quality Program), the Area Plan guides landowners and partners such as Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) in addressing water quality issues.”

The Middle Willamette Ag Water Quality Management Area is partially located in Benton County. For more information, view the plan on ODA’s website.
