Grants for Educators
Benton SWCD Conservation Education Grant for funding major or minor efforts in Natural Resources Education. If you want to engage students in the study of natural resources, we want to help you fulfill your DREAMS! Applications become available in August and close in October. Contact Heath Keirstead (firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-753-7208 ext. 205) if you have questions. PLEASE NOTE: Corvallis School District educators should inform their school administrator prior to application submission.
Check here in August for the 2020 Conservation Education Grant Application.
We try to fund as many educators as we can. The funding pool varies from year to year. Average grant award is $500. We fund field trips, interns, garden supplies, curriculum, and a wide variety of other projects.
The District is particularly interested in education projects that educate students about the importance of prairies, pollinators, and/or birds. While your educator grant application is not required to highlight prairies, pollinators, and/or birds, it may receive a higher ranking if it contains some of these components. Click here for a list of projects we have funded from past years.
