Climate Change Resources
Our climate is changing, and it's already having a tangible impact on agriculture, natural resources, and all of us.
Based on the Fifth Oregon Climate Assessment, the impacts we can continue to feel from climate change include:
- Oregon wildfires will be larger and more frequent.
- The number of days of extreme summer heat will continue to increase.
- Sea level rise will affect coastal communities and present hazards including erosion and flooding.
- Oregon will likely see more precipitation, but less of it will be snow.
- Changes in precipitation will continue to present challenges to drinking water supplies, irrigation, watershed health, winter recreation, and more.
Below you'll find resources to learn more about how climate change is affecting agriculture and conservation, and how you can help mitigate the impacts.
