Conservation Education Grants

Applications now open for 2024

K-12 teachers and informal educators working in Benton County, OR (including Corvallis, Philomath, Kings Valley, Monroe, Blodgett, and Alsea) are eligible to apply for up to $500 in 2024 to support efforts that benefit students and the environment of Benton County, OR. Grant funds may be used for any purpose as long as the project enhances natural resource conservation efforts in Benton County. Special consideration will be given to projects focusing on climate and environmental justice/equity.

Funds may be used for classroom materials, tools, field trips, staff wages, or any other supplies or activities that contribute to conservation education in your classroom.

Grant timeline:

  • Application deadline is 5:00 pm, December 31, 2023.
  • Funds will be available after January 15, 2024.
  • Funds must be used by June 30, 2024.
  • Final report must be submitted by July 1, 2024 that summarizes the project and highlights outcomes. BSWCD will send a reporting form for your use.
