Pokeweed | Phytolacca americana
Perennial; course, unpleasant-scented green foliage. Coarse red or purple tinged stems. Flowers are erect to drooping clusters and lack petals. Berries are a glossy purple-black color at maturity. Large fleshy crown and taproot.
