Tall Oatgrass | Arrhenatherum elatius
Stout perennial grass with stems that are sometimes hairy at the nodes and often swollen and bulb-like at the base. Leaves are flat, roughened and often hairy. Inflorescences are erect, narrow, silvery-green at flowering and later purplish and shiny. It is a grass of early summer (June or July).
